Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the repatriation of Greeks from Syria (30.12.2024)

Following the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassies of Greece in Damascus and Beirut, the repatriation of 33 Greek citizens and their family members from Syria was safely completed today, Monday, December 30. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs remains in position to provide any possible assistance.

Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Đurić (Athens, 18.12.2024)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Gerapetritis, will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Đurić, tomorrow, Wednesday, December 18, at 11:00 a.m. Following the expanded talks between the delegations, the two Ministers will deliver, at 12:30 p.m., joint statements to the Press. A working lunch will follow.

Diplomatic and Historical Archives

The Service of Diplomatic and Historical Archives (YDIA) of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is responsible, according to article 142 of the Statute of the Ministry (Law 4781/2021), for organizing, preserving, safe-keeping, utilizing and promoting the archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for issuing studies, for the declassification of diplomatic archives and the encouragement of research.
